Release and Content Changes

Hello everyone,

We are writing to share some important news regarding the development of Adventure Awaits: The Secret of the Golden Key. We originally estimated our game would be ready this May. We will miss this estimation. We want to keep our backers and supporters informed on our updated timeline and also share some important changes regarding the content within the game.

Why the Delay?

First and foremost, we believe that art takes time. We are committed to a development process that respects our collaborators. We will not be rushing our artists or resorting to crunch. We want to create something beautiful and meaningful, and that requires giving our team the space and time they need to do their best work.

What content is changing?

Secondly, we are fundamentally reshaping the scope of the game. Originally, we planned for three short chapters, each around 17 pages. However, during development, we realized that 17 pages is simply too limiting to tell a truly exciting, branching story. To give players the depth they deserve, we are shifting our focus to one substantial, 40+ page chapter.

This new structure allows us to:

• Create a much richer narrative with genuine choices that matter.
• Ensure the pacing feels immersive rather than rushed.

What to Expect

We do not have an official release date yet. We anticipate this process will take some time, but we promise that every day spent refining the game is an investment in a better final product.

How do I claim my Early Access backer rewards?

For those who can claim the development early access tier, your wait is nearly over! We are in the process of finalizing our pipeline to allow you unparalleled access to in progress builds through Steam Playtest.

Those with Beta access with follow soon after also using Steam Playtest once all content in the game has been added.

Anyone with early access to each chapter as they release will still get early access to the game as soon as our game goes gold. This will be the full version of the game granted through Steam keys.
